Why are European entrepreneurs attracted to move business to Dubai?

In Europe, complexity and amount of different taxes, imposed upon solopreneurs and small business, is often the burden and people try to escape by moving out to other locations, including the UAE.

For me, indeed, my first trip to Dubai was without any predefined expectations, I had no aim to explore business opportunities, just to observe and enjoy the worldwide famous lavish lifestyle. And, of course, to see the dessert. This was my first thought. Because, come on, what can you expect from the concrete jungle built on the desert – everyone was telling me, Dubai is nothing but concrete jungle?

And it came as a big surprise. Still surrounded by old myths and stereotypes, Dubai rises as the new world capital, open, multinational and unrestricted, offering endless opportunities for business – in terms of contacts, legal basis and infrastructure.

I am the first, who got a poke in my face and felt stupid with all the media things I heard. Did you know that 90 percent of people in Dubai are foreigners? Business people and entrepreneurs from all over the world mix here in business events, the airport of Dubai is the busiest in the world, the Free Economic Zone port is the biggest in the world. They don’t speak business. They just do it. Better than Nike. They already did and will do more. Traditional stereotypes? When it comes to business, they are put aside. A man or a woman, black or white, it does not matter – as long as you have good business ideas, people will shake hands with you and sign the contract.

Legal system in Dubai motivates you to act and imposes very few restraints. There is a joke – European countries have Ministries of Taxes and Fines, while in Dubai, they have the Ministry of Happiness instead.

My hit to Dubai was for sun and for fun. But it happened otherway – Dubai opened for me new perspectives and new horizons. Dubai Expo 2022 was the turning point when I realized – it is time to move forward, I want to face new challenges, and explore new possibilities. I have established new business contacts, and I have met people, who encouraged my ideas, and I dedicated myself to move forward.
